I've just got my crystal ball back from the service centre and it tells me a
lot of people have cut down on their expenditure this Christmas, and more
still are not 'doing' Christmas as such, just treating the bun fight as a
means to get some stuff cheaper.

Pigeons were widely suspected of secret intercourse with the
enemy; counter-measures included the use of British birds of
prey to intercept suspicious pigeons in mid-air.

More like an extended warranty that the vultures in Currys are forced to
sell by the shop managers! please note all extended warranties are a
total scam - the product is guaranteed for 12months anyway. If it is
going to fail it will do so in that time. Why pay extra until AFTER the
12months? By the time you have paid for warranties that are a con
you could have bought the item a few times.

Is the cyrstal ball "widescreen" and Digital Ready?

If it goes fault, the contract is with the SHOP/RETAILER not directly
with the manufacturer - so refuse to be fobbed off by places such as
Currys, Comet and PCWORLD.

Her in doors and I haven't done Christmas for quite a few years a lot
of silly money is spent at Christmas for nothing really the sooner the
2nd of Jan arrives the better ,lets get rid of all the stupidity and
get back to normal for another 12 months .
November and December are the two months out of the year I hate, bad
weather, extra cost for heating and lighting ,the buying of stupid
presents that no one really wants or needs plus of curse the cost of
buying and posting Christmas cards.

I don't have money to throw away. But then I don't buy useless
presents.

Take it back, it is wrong! The amount of people in shops spending money
is huge. It always is, people do not cut down on presents.

Wrong, I do not know anyone not celebrating the festive gift exchange
season.

They will not get far, prices are fixed so people are forced to buy.
The threat of VAT increasing is causing people to panic buy now.
I take it you don't have any experience of
the real world or retail. My shares in a number of retail outlets
have been increasing steadily over the year. Look at share prices.
Fortunately the public are spending more each year so my profits
increase in proportion.
