If a company confirm an order, AND take full payment, can they then turn
round a week later and tell me the item is no longer available/
I ordered a pram for our new baby and paid for it in full and now they've
told me it's not available. of course the other pram we were looking at
somewhere else is no longer on special offer so we're now faced with paying
£100 more for one

I don't know what the full answer to this is. They are in breach of
contract, but you may only be entitled to a refund. Try posting on
uk.legal.moderated for a more detailed answer.

Tough, they are offering a refund. Why didn't you buy the other pram?
Is it just an attempted scam to get money? Who knows when so many
try it on.

I didn't buy the other pram because they were both at the same price and
these were offering a quicker delivery . They took my money 8 days ago and
have only just now told me they can't fulfil the order - and the money still
hasn't been refunded.
