Cheap BT service?

I have a BT landline. I make very few calls (maybe half a dozen a
year), and I receive just as few. I use it mainly for dial-up Internet
connection. I am on something called Unlimited Weekend Plan, is it the
cheapest option?

It used to be that you could get a low user discount, but now they want you
to be on benefits and not own a mobile to qualify.

You may be able to get cheaper line rental with another operator. They
might be even worse than BT though ;-)
