Just a heads up on this business.
Last week (Monday 23rd) I booked an MOT online choosing date and time for it
(Friday 27th).
On Tuesday 24th I was checking my credit card statement and there was a
debit for the MOT!!
On Thursday before I noticed a message on my answer phone saying- - they
could not do the MOT on Friday as they found out nobody worked that day at
that branch and please call them back as the soonest they could do was the
following Tuesday!!
I phoned them up and was on hold for twenty minutes and got some "we didn't
know you had been away" its not our fault kind of thing. I then asked why my
card had been debited as the next week was no good- - I cant drive a car
around for three days without MOT- - the answer was we will refund it!
I said fine but there was no explanation why it was debited so soon. I
latter get an email saying it could take a week to refund!! and it still
hasn't been refunded at this point in time!!
Rant over!!

Just beware of firms that take money before delivering a service- - National
Tyres?
Never again!
Stuart.

Great, you made an online booking. So no need to provide payment
information.

Why would there be a debit for an MOT when you had only booked one?
You do not need to make card details available for a booking and if you did
you must be stupid.

Why did you bother going to National Tyres anyway?

That's how companies make their money. Each call needs to generate a
minimum amount.

Fair enough, but you are stupid for agreeing to pay for a service or product
in advance. There are plenty of garages that will MOT your car, you DID
have two or more weeks before it was due to sort it out, so again it is your
own fault for leaving it until the very last minute. That will not work as
an excuse
with the police if you are going to use it.

Firstly do you think anyone is bothered nd secondly, do you think anyone
really
cares that you made yourself look so stupid.

Why didn't you follow your own advice. If you knew it was going to be a
problem
why bother? Once again, it will NOT work as an excuse for driving a car
without
MOT.

- National Tyres?
Never had a problem with them - at least they didn't try to rip me off like
KWIKFIT.
I always go to a main dealer now, cheaper parts and service by far and
genuine parts.

Stuart.
Well, get an adult to do it for you next time.
Thanks for letting us all know you're stupid!

The last time I used KWIKFIT was years ago and without any problems I
now have a car from Motability and they say I have to go to KWIKFIT
with any wheel problems . Of course Motability pay the bills for all
servicing but why should they use a firm like KWIKFIT if they like you
say rip people of ? .
