David Cameron thanks Labour MP candidate for his 'hard work' in email error

Blundering David Cameron today thanked a Labour MP candidate for his 'hard
work' campaigning.

The Tory PM wrote an email to David Hanson at 3.38pm praising him for having
a 'well-oiled' and 'energetic' team of party volunteers.

On the final day of campaigning before the polls open, Mr Cameron also urged
him to 'knock on as many doors as possible' because he's making a 'huge
difference'.

It's a bog standard bulk email, sent to everyone who signed up to receive
it. It is common practice for candidates and activists to sign up for their
opposition's email newsletter, in order to keep tabs on them. I got emails
like this one from all three of the main party leaders.

So, far from David Cameron "accidentally" sending a personal email to a
member of the opposition, some dumb opposition MP a) can't tell the
difference between a personal email and an email newsletter (hint, it even
starts with "Dear friend") and b) has forgotten that either he or one of
his staff signed up to receive it.

Now, hands up who voted for that particular fuckwit?

If it was that common a cock-up - the Mirror would've got a flood of
FWD:emails.
