Can anyone please recommend a reliable, easy to install, and
inexpensive "ADSL wireless router"?

Is any other hardware required to connect my windows vista PC to the
internet (it has a built-in wireless card as it picks the neighbor's
network)?

Would a wireless rouer enable both my vista PC and old XP machine to
access the internet simultaneously?

I am very surprised that a supposedly improved os such as vista should
make it so difficult to get online when this was achieved effortlessly
on my old XP PC!

Vista and lack of drivers was a big problem when it first came out. But
manufacturers have been catching up.

Have you tried getting drivers for your Voyager router? It's the obvious
answer.

Any of the mainstream makes (Linksys, Netgear, Buffalo, et al) will all
be reliable and easy to install. If cost is important, there are cheaper
brands, and unbranded ones. I personally would stick with something well-
known.

I've used Linksys with no problems, although Netgear possibly has the
edge at the moment.

Normally, things like encryption are turned off by default to make it
easy to get running. It would be advisable to make a wired connection
temporarily to set up the type of encryption you want to use, and to
change the default admin password.

A suitable cable is normally supplied, but worth checking.

There are lots of resources online to walk you through initial setup if
you need that. (I certainly did!)
Would a wireless rouer enable both my vista PC and old XP machine to
access the internet simultaneously?
Yes. It would also enable the machines to talk to each other to share
files, printers ect.

The key is in the word "supposedly"!

I skip between different user interfaces frequently; XP, Vista, Windows
7, various Linux flavours... I find Vista to be the most annoying.

Try a Netgear DG-834-wireless. They come in wired and wireless
versions. Mine's been totally reliable.

Vista makes it far easier.

One very good reason not to downgrade to Vista.

There are lots of them about. I would stick to Netgear. Belkin look
fancy but seem unreliable. Cisco/Linksys is also OK.

Yes it will, and a WiFi Radio if you're in to that.

Your lack of effort and wanting to read a few instructions can not be
confused with the way operating systems work. All you have to do is
press HELP if you haven't a clue. Vista is not XP so it's quite obvious
that you will not be able to press the same keys or copy details across
to the exact same files.

I recommend Zyxel. They're not expensive but are reliable enough to
use in a business environment IME.

No. All you need is a network cable or wireless network card.
I'd recommend using wired networking if you can. It's more secure,
faster and more reliable.
