Does anyone have any experience with this company? A colleague abroad
is thinking of buying an iPhone from them and asked me I'd heard of
them. They have a company registration and website
(www.phonesforbusiness.co.uk) but I can't find any customers' reviews
on the web.

I find it odd that the Sales Manager is dealing with my colleague from
an @live.com e-mail address rather than one associated with the
company's domain name. The company requires payment in advance before
shipment (but promises 100% satisfaction or a refund for 90 days after
purchase).

Thanks,
Adam

I already did the whois lookup (and I think that address is close
enough to the company's official address), but thanks. I'm mainly
wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experiences with the
company.

One thing you have not mentioned is that I was under the impression that the
problem with this item was that it worked only on some networks due to the
deal done by Apple. If its unrestricted, then fine, but I too would be a bit
perturbed that the guy has an apparently unconnected email address.

I find that odd too.

Communicating via a free webmail account is instantly suspicious, no
legitimate business should ever do this IMHO. The transaction could so
easily be prepayment fraud. PFB may even have no connection with the
alleged "Sales Manager", how can you tell?

Yes, that's the main thing I find potentially dodgy.

You can't tell. And he was dodgy.

My colleague phoned the number on the website to check on him; the
soi-disant "Sales Manager" has nothing to do with that company. She
forwarded his e-mails to the real company for investigation.

Good. Keep us posted if you are able.
